The deep-fried sesame beef jerky is an original recipe made by Aunty Kim. The beef jerky is deep-fried with sesame seeds making them give off a full-bodied wood flavour. Combined with fresh Vietnamese herbs, garlic, onion and sugar, it gives its spicy, sweet and aromatic taste. The jerky is then hand dabbed to remove oil and then further prepared.

This is Aunty Kim's previously discontinued recipe due to its hands-on and costly preparation time. We've made a limited batch of our deep-fried sesame beef jerky available at the start of each month until we run out.

How is it made?

Our deep-fried sesame beef jerky is our unique recipe and flavour that you wont find anywhere else. Vietnamese beef jerky is not easy to make and, our deep-fried beef jerky is even more complex. In the past, we've discontinued making it because of it's tedious requirements. Here's a brief overview of how it is made. We've left out some secrets.

We start by selecting premium cuts of beef, known for their tenderness. After marinating overnight with a carefully crafted blend of ingredients, the beef is sliced into thin, succulent strips. These strips undergo another round of marination, intensifying the flavours and ensuring a taste that will leave you in awe.

Next, the beef is carefully deep-fried in Aunty Kim's secret recipe, creating a crispy nutty texture that adds an irresistible element to the jerky. Excess oil is gently dabbed away by hand, leaving behind a perfect balance of flavours. To preserve the remarkable texture and intensify the flavours, the beef is then dehydrated.
